Riccardo suggested this Maori styled tattoo to represent a new beginning starting from a deep change.

Fire symbolizes change and transformation, while the unfolding fern bud represents a new beginning, a rebirth. Attached to this tattoo you´ll find the initial drawing, whereas this one below is the final version chosen by Riccardo:
