DESCRIPTION AND MEANING:

The scorpion is a feared and revered animal to any culture that came to know him.

His poison can be deadly in some cases but it is also used to prepare some medicines, hence the double value of his reputation.

To the Indian culture the scorpion also symbolizes passion as the effects of his poison can recall those that passion has on lovers: shortened breath, faster heartbeat, heat, pain (if not mutual).

Elena requested this scorpion shaped by her name.
