DESCRIPTION AND MEANING:

The turtle is a common symbol to represent family and it´s Joel´ family Aumakua.
The braid on the shell that shapes a triple twist with the head of the turtle is designed to spell the Hawaiian words Makuakāne (father) and Keikikāne (son).
The double koru represents father and son and a dot symbolizes importance.

On the left of the twist there are spear heads and mountains and on its right there´ a bass clef.

The left front flipper is the body of a shark and the left back flipper is its tail.
The front right flipper contains two chasing birds (help to the loved ones) and the back one is shaped like a fish hook (prosperity).
